BOISE, Idaho — UPDATE (4:45): Ada County Sheriff's Office has given the all-clear after finding that nothing suspicious was in the "suspicious package".

An earlier version of this story read that "Everyone inside the Courthouse is being asked to leave. A perimeter has been set up around the building." This came from a spokesperson from the county, but officials now say the evacuation that did occur was short-lived and canceled quickly, when officials found no concern with the package.

ORIGINAL POST:

Ada County Sheriff’s Office deputies are at the Ada County Courthouse in downtown Boise, after a report of a suspicious package there.

An Ada County Dispatch supervisor says courthouse security personnel discovered the package about 2:40 p.m. “It was put through an X-ray machine, and it looked suspicious,” the supervisor said.

We have a crew en route and will provide more details as they become available.
