Gates installed on popular forest road

The Texas billionaires who now own 174 thousand acres of Idaho forest land may be cutting off more access.

Forest service roads run through much of the property DF Development purchased from Boise Cascade.
No trespassing signs dot the landscape in several Idaho counties. Now gates are installed on a road hunters have used for years.

Forest Service Road 374 -- also known as Boise Ridge Road-- accesses a large portion of the Boise National Forest... But the Forest Service says part of that road is technically private.

A spokesperson tells Six on Your Side the Boise National Forest has reached out to the Wilks brothers, hoping to discuss opening the road to public access, but with less than two weeks before hunting season opens in that area, no meeting is scheduled.
