BOISE, Idaho — To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Boise River Greenbelt, the City of Boise kicked of a three-day community celebration on Thursday.
Saturday, Ann Morrison Park filled with families, food trucks and a free jazz concert.
"Arguably [the greenbelt] is the most beloved and treasured asset we have in the city of Boise and we have a lot of historical monuments throughout the city, but this one, the greenbelt really is truly Boise," Director of Boise Parks and Rec Doug Holloway said. "We’re just proud and honored to be celebrating her 50th birthday this week with this 3-day event and we’re just really thankful that we have such a great treasure here in the community."
