A popular Treasure Valley eatery is stepping up to help one of their own this holiday season.
Seth Brink, co-owner of The Gyro Shack, says a longtime cook was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia.
In an effort to help him and his family, customer donations are being accepted at all Gyro Shack locations. Donations will also be matched by the business.
"It's super exciting to see how all the stores are supporting one another," Brink said. "He only works at one store, but we've got everybody at all four locations participating."
Donations will be accepted through Dec. 31.
As additional incentive, if $3,000 is raised, a group of male employees will shave their heads; and if $5,000 is raised, some female employees will shave their heads.
