The sound of kettlebells outside of your favorite neighborhood store means it's officially the kickoff of the holiday donation season for the Salvation Army, but they say they've got the "bell ringer blues" because donations are down.
The Salvation Army says the money collected helps them to run their program year round, but with just two weeks left in the season, local kettles still need to bring in more than double of what has already been collected.
The charity says every penny counts.
