Three new coronavirus deaths reported in Idaho, including two in Treasure Valley

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare reported three new COVID-19-related deaths Monday evening.

Two deaths were reported in Canyon County and one in Payette County. COVID-19 is the disease cause by the coronavirus.

At least 13 people have died in Idaho as a result of coronavirus-related complications.

Southeast Idaho Public Health reported Monday the first case of coronavirus in Power County. Health officials found a woman in her 20s tested positive for the virus, and she is recovering at home. The source of her transmission is under investigation.

The Idaho Statesman still is collecting information to provide the updated coronavirus case count for the state. It was 1,158 as of 5 p.m.

Coronavirus has been confirmed in 32 of Idaho’s 44 counties: Ada, Adams, Bannock, Bingham, Blaine, Bonner, Bonneville, Camas, Canyon, Caribou, Cassia, Custer, Elmore, Fremont, Gem, Gooding, Idaho, Jefferson, Jerome, Kootenai, Latah, Lincoln, Madison, Minidoka, Nez Perce, Owyhee, Payette, Power, Teton, Twin Falls, Valley and Washington.
