Officers with the Idaho State Police are investigating a major collision involving a semi-truck loaded with sand, a pickup towing a boat and one other vehicle.
The crash happened near milepost 98 near Smiths Ferry.
The accident is expected to keep Highway 55 closed until around 9:00 pm on August 15. ISP continues to assess the incident and ensure the highway is operational, in the meantime they encourage drivers to find another route.
