This year’s Tour de Fat in Boise was a big success.

New Belgium Brewing has released the numbers from this year’s event and the 12,000 people who showed up for the celebration of bicycles and beer in Ann Morrison Park on Saturday helped raise $63,365 for charity.

The 12,000 participants were actually an increase from last year’s total of 10,500.

Proceeds from Boise’s Tour de Fat will go towards local groups the Southwest Idaho Mountain Biking Association, Treasure Valley Cycling Alliance and the Boise Bicycle Project.

Since it first started the Tour de Fat has raised more than $4 million for cycling non-profits all over the country.
