Banks-Lowman Road is back open to traffic after downed power lines prompted closures.

Crews worked to clear the area Saturday afternoon and opened the highway to traffic around 2:10 p.m.

Idaho Power is aware of 50 power outages in the Treasure Valley as of 2:10 p.m. as a result of strong, gusty winds associated with a line of passing thunderstorms early Saturday afternoon.

Officials have shut down Banks-Lowman Road due to downed power lines.

The area impacted is between Highway 55 and Houston Road.

Storms moved through the area Saturday afternoon bringing precipitation and strong, gusty winds.
