TREASURE VALLEY, Idaho — Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, the Treasure Valley YMCA will be closed for one week from March 16 to March 22, 2020.

Six on Your Side previously reported on the Treasure Valley YMCA taking precautions amid COVID-19 concerns. You can look at that article by Frankie Katafias here.

YMCA leadership had been meeting throughout the weekend to monitor the COVID-19 situation to determine the best course of action.

Multiple facilities throughout the Treasure Valley will be closed, which include:

  • Caldwell YMCA
  • Downtown Boise YMCA
  • South Meridian YMCA
  • West Boise YMCA and City of Boise Aquatic Center
  • Healthy Living Center
  • YMCA Camp at Horsethief Reservoir
  • YMCA child development sites at the Boise School District, Vallivue School District and Caldwell School District. These sites will be closed concurrent with district closures and will reopen as schools reopen

During this time, the YMCA will be reviewing and adapting service delivery models and disinfecting protocols to continue to serve community needs in the safest way possible.

The YMCA will continue to keep members and the public informed and updated as any new developments become available. You can look at their website and social media outlets for more information. If you have any comments, questions or concerns, you can reach them at communications@ymcatvidaho.org.
