BOISE, Idaho — The ninth Treefort Music Fest is being postponed to September 22-26, 2021 according to a post on the Treefort website. Treefort was originally pushed back to this September in March, a couple of weeks before it was supposed to go on.
Treefort organizers said in the post they were not confident it will be safe to host large crowds this fall due to COVID-19. They also said since March is not that far away, they do not feel like they could produce an event like the Treefort experience until Fall 2021.
Next week, organizers will be announcing options for rolling over or refunding Treefort 9 passes. The details are still being worked out, so if you purchased a pass keep an eye on your email inbox. All ticket holders will be contacted as soon as the details are finalized.
If you currently have a pass, it will still be valid for September 2021. If you want to purchase a pass for next year, you can do so when they go on sale. More details on that are also expected next week. Early Bird and Locals Only passes will not be offered as they have already been purchased.
Organizers say ticket prices will be raised in order to stay afloat. They say the best option for those who already have a pass is to roll over, gift or sell the existing Treefort 9 pass. Organizers are working on a system to sell or roll over the Treefort passes. Full or partial refunds will be an option. If you cannot attend Treefort in September 2021 but do not want a refund or roll over, send an email to tickets@treefortmusicfest.com
If you still want to experience Treefort until the official festival starts, there is a Treefort Spotlight Series on YouTube and merchandise available for purchase in the Treefort Store. There is all a Spotify playlist featuring artists from the previous years of Treefort.
