KUNA, Idaho — Tuesday, four suspects accused of raping a woman in Kuna appeared in court hoping to reduce their bail. Judge Michael Reardon denied their request the Judge pointing out they are all refugee's and are a potential flight risk. The defendants are Elias Lupango, 19; Swedi Iyombelo, 18; Mulanga Rashidi, 18; and a minor who is being tried as an adult, Ulimwengu Lupango, 16. The group maintains their innocence.
All four suspects are facing felony rape charges. Their trial is scheduled to begin August 19th.
