BOISE, Idaho — A downtown Boise event called "Trump 2020 Cruise Rally" brought a crowd Saturday afternoon. Groups like the Ada County Republicans gathered at Ann Morrison Park to prepare for the parade.
Idaho News 6 talked with the organizer of the event, who told us it surprised him to see how many people wanted to come out for this event. He says all he wanted to do was put together a family-friendly parade to show support for President Trump.
"So we are just setting up right now to support our president," said Alex Kuz. "We are the silent majority, but we are coming out to share the love, to share that we love our president and what he is doing and we are gathering together so we can vote him into office for four more years."
There were also several signs calling for a recall of Boise Mayor Lauren McLean and Councilwoman Lisa Sanchez. Groups were gathering signatures while they sold flags and other memorabilia.
