The road to the White House is running through the Treasure Valley today and protesters are getting ready.

Donald Trump Junior is set to hold a fundraiser in Boise this morning.

Members of the "Idaho for Trump" campaign said the presidential hopeful's son understands the West and has great interest in public lands.

Trump Junior will address issues from responsible management of natural resources, to how to pay for and prevent devastating wildfires.

"He sort of reminds me of Theodore Roosevelt," said Sandra Mitchell of "Idaho for Trump." "He's a New Yorker, but he's an avid hunter and has great interest in the west and our issues out here."

The fundraiser is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Jackson Jet Center in Boise.

Protesters geared up for an Anti-Trump rally Wednesday night.

A small group gathered at the Idaho Democratic Party in Downtown Boise to make signs to hold outside of the event.

When asked if they were worried about any violence breaking out during the protest, they said not on their part.

"I know from our end there isn't going to be a lot of stone throwing or anything like that," said Jennifer Martinez.  "I can't say anything if their are counter-protestor,s but I hope we can be civil enough to have a discourse if needed and respect each others freedom of speech."
