The Transportation Security Administration is looking to fill more than 6,000 positions across the country — including 30 in Idaho.
The TSA is hoping to hire for positions at the Boise Airport and Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey.
“Idaho has a fast growing and dynamic economy. We also have a fast growing population, driven by people moving to the Gem State. With growth in air traffic expected mirror the increase in population, we have a need for more dedicated officers at Idaho’s Airports to ensure the security and safety of travelers,” said TSA Federal Security Director for Idaho Andy Coose in a statement. “TSA offers a competitive salary and a job with excellent benefits. And, working at airports with a diverse group of people can be a great way to launch a long career in aviation and federal government service.”
The recruiting efforts to fill positions for transportation security officers to help with screening operations comes ahead of an anticipated busy travel season. The positions at Boise Airport will be part-timepositions where Friedman Memorial Airport is opening both full-time and part-time positions.
The positions include benefits with a starting pay ranging from $16.51 to $23.58 per hour, with opportunities for pay raises.
