TWIN FALLS, Idaho — UPDATE: Roughly 2,050 Chromebooks were distributed in the Twin Falls School District today.

If you're a parent and did not hear from teachers today, the district says it may be they don't have correct contact info for you.

If you are not getting communication from teachers, schools or the district, contact your child's school.

Original Story:

Twin Falls School District is preparing for distance learning.

The district is doing a Chromebook checkout starting March 30 for students who don't have access to a computer at home.

The district says parents must be present and sign a form for students to have access to the computers. Only one computer will be supplied per family, the district said.

Chromebooks can be picked up at each school scheduled by the first letter of the student's last name during the following times:

  • 10:00am – 11:00am Last Names A-F
  • 11:00am – 12:00pm Last Names G-M
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm Last Names N-S
  • 1:00pm – 2:00pm Last Names T-Z

If you can't pick up a Chromebook during the scheduled time, the district says you need to contact the principal to arrange a new time.
