UPDATE: The Ada County Coroners Office has identified both victims of an overnight crash. 19-year-old Devyn Pifher was the driver and only one in a vehicle involved in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple blunt force injuries.
15-year-old Ava Sawyer was a passenger in the other vehicle involved in the crash. She also died from multiple blunt force injuries at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Boise Police Department.
ORIGINAL STORY: Two people are dead following an overnight collision at a west Boise intersection.
According to a Boise Police Department news release, about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at McMillan and Five Mile Roads.
A preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle traveling south on Five Mile Road collided with a vehicle traveling west on McMillan Road.
Two people died as are result of the crash; police identify them as the driver of the vehicle traveling on Five Mile and a passenger in the vehicle that was traveling on McMillan.
Two other passengers in the vehicle traveling on McMillan were also taken to a local hospital.
Their names of the deceased victims are expected be released by the Ada County Coroner, pending notification of family members.
Boise Police detectives and a crash reconstruction team responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
