Two people were arrested Tuesday morning after a shooting was reported outside of Mountain Home.
Deputies were sent to a residence after a call was made to police that gunshots were fired in the area, according to a Facebook post from the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office. An ambulance arrived at the scene and took at least one victim to an Idaho hospital for treatment. The press release did not say how many people were injured in the shooting.
Elmore County deputies detained two “persons of interest” related to the shooting. County authorities did not release the names of either of the two detained people.
The Sheriff’s Office said the incident was believed to be isolated and there was no ongoing risk to the community. As of Tuesday afternoon, the investigation was still ongoing.
