BOISE — UPDATE (March 8): Ada County coroner Dotti Owens has confirmed in a release that 89-year-old Robert Goar died at home and was pronounced dead on Friday morning. Owens says Goar died from injuries sustained on February 27 after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Milwaukee St. in Boise. Goar's wife, 87-year-old Florence Goar passed away at the hospital afte rthe initial crash.
UPDATE 3: Boise Police say they have spoken with both the driver and passenger who witnessed the crash that killed an 87-year-old woman and injured an 89-year-old man when they were struck in a Boise crosswalk back in January.
Officers thank the public and the media for helping identify those witnesses.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing. When it is complete, the details will be forwarded to the Ada County Prosecutor for a decision about charges against the driver of the Jeep who struck the pedestrians.
The pedestrians, a husband and wife from Boise, were gravely injured in the crash. 87-year old Florence Goar passed away at the hospital on Feb. 27. Her 89-year-old husband also sustained serious injuries.
UPDATE 2: Boise Police investigators are asking a potential witness to a deadly crash to come forward.
The incident happened at 4:57 p.m. on January 27, at the intersection of Milwaukee and Northview, in Boise.
Police say one of two octogenarians hit in the crosswalk were killed.
Officers would like to speak with the driver of the vehicle described as being a blue or dark green Chevrolet Suburban, or similar make and model.

UPDATE 1: On Thursday morning Boise Police Department shared that the 87-year-old woman struck by a car in Wednesday's accident died from her injuries. The Ada County Coroner will release her identity once her next of kin have been notified.
ORIGINAL STORY: BPD is investigating a crash involving 89-year-old and 87-year-old pedestrians. Just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, Boise Police, Boise Fire and Ada County Paramedics were dispatched to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash at W. Northview Street and N Milwaukee Street.
A preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was making a left hand turn from Northview to go south on Milwaukee when the driver hit the pedestrians in the crosswalk.
One pedestrian has been transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The other pedestrian appears to have non-life threatening injuries. The driver is being cooperative with investigative efforts.

The two pedestrians, an 89-year-old male and an 87-year-old female, were taken to the hospital. The female’s injuries are considered to be life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time. A crash reconstruction team and detectives are working on the investigation.
