Two juveniles arrested in drive-by shooting in Nampa

NAMPA, ID—Two juveniles were arrested and charged in a drive-by shooting in Nampa on Friday morning.

On July 29, 2016, at approximately 7 a.m., Nampa Police received a report of shots fired in the 100 block of 1st Ave. N. When Officers arrived on scene they found a vehicle that had been struck by a bullet.

With the information from witnesses, officers were able to locate the suspects. Three juveniles were placed into custody after confessed they involved in the shooting.

Two of the juveniles were charged with shooting at an occupied dwelling, grand theft by possession, concealing evidence, and the gang enhancement. The third juvenile was charged with aiding and abetting unlawful discharge of a firearm at an occupied dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a minor.

All three, aged 17, 17 and 15, were transported to the Southwest Idaho Juvenile Detention Center.

This case is being investigated as a gang-related incident.
