NAMPA, Idaho — The Nampa Parks and Recreation Department is opening two new playgrounds at Liberty Park and Kings Road Park.
The new playgrounds will replace the outdated playgrounds in both parks. The new features give kids the opportunity to play and stay active. Both playgrounds were funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
Liberty Park is a neighborhood park about 18 acres in size. The park has trees, a playground, outdoor basketball court, sand volleyball, soccer fields and a softball field. The ribbon cutting for the playground is on Tuesday, June 18 at 12:30 p.m.
Kings Road Park is a small neighborhood park about three acres in size. The park has a playground, fitness trails and some open areas for play. The ribbon cutting is on Tuesday, July 9 at 10:30 a.m.
