Two sent to hospital after I-84 hit and run

Posted

State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that sent two people to the hospital on I-84 Thursday night.

Police say it happened just inside the Idaho-Oregon border when a semi-truck was passing a Mitsubishi Montero headed eastbound.  The truck’s trailer crossed into the car’s lane and hit it.  The car was pushed towards the shoulder of the road and the driver overcorrected and then hit the trailer again before rolling.

The semi-truck didn’t stop and hasn’t been located.

The driver and a passenger in the car were both wearing seatbelts and were taken to the hospital.  No word on their condition at this time.

Lanes were partially blocked for two hours.

ISP is investigating.
