NAMPA, ID-- A 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old man were arrested during Skyview High School threat investigation on Tuesday, according to Nampa Police Department.
On April 18, 2017, as a result of the ongoing investigation, Nampa Police School Resource officers made two arrests for crimes related to this case.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with disturbing the peace and for making threats of violence on school grounds. He was taken to the Southwest Idaho Juvenile Detention Center in Caldwell.
The 18-year-old was identified as Martin P. Soto, of Nampa. Soto was charged with possession of lost or stolen property, a firearm and disorderly conduct. He was booked into the Canyon County Jail.
“The safety of students and staff is our number one priority. We will not tolerate threats, whether made directly, through social media, anonymously or threats made as a hoax,” said SRO Sgt. Jason Cantrell. “Threatening violence against schools is a violation of the law and persons found responsible will be charged and prosecuted,” Cantrell said.
