BOISE, Idaho — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District deployed three, two person teams to Boise, in order to support the State’s office of emergency services and expand their ability to handle an expected increase in patients.
The Corps is working in partnership with local, state and federal response to limit virus exposure and effects. Their number one priority is the life, health and safety of all.
Their work will focus on pinpointing alternate healthcare facilities in Idaho, as well as conducting joint assessment and screening.
Every year the Corps sends hundreds of people from across the country to assist local districts in times of disasters and emergencies.
