BOISE, Idaho — Heavy snow across Idaho prevented Governor Little from making it to today's VFW mid-winter conference at the Riverside Hotel.
The group gathers twice a year, bringing together members from all over the state.
Today's topics up for discussion included benefits available to Idaho veterans, compensation claims and national military service programs run by the VFW.
"It's all about community service and helping veterans. So, we get together twice a year just make sure everyone's on the same sheet of music, share ideas and again, how to better assist our veterans and our communities," said Bill Heyob, VFW State Commander.
The VFW has 50 posts across the state and anyone who served in combat is welcome to join.
