Westbound I-84 in Oregon is back open this morning after snow and poor driving conditions forced the closure of a large portion of the interstate.
A series of crashes involving semi-trucks and smaller passenger cars had traffic snarled for hours Monday. Westbound lanes between Ontario and Pendleton were closed around 3 P.M., but traffic is flowing smoothly this morning. We're told at least nine vehicles were involved, and serious injuries reported.
UPDATE: I-84 is now open WB between Exit 374, #Ontario and Exit 216, 6 miles east of #Pendleton. US 30 between #Haines and #NorthPowder and OR 201 between #Weiser and I-84 Exit 356 are also now open for travel. Dense fog & winter conditions are still present.
