Western Idaho Fair brings together Boise for food, fun and family activities

BOISE, Idaho — The Western Idaho Fair kicks off ten days of fun in the Treasure Valley this weekend!

Admission prices are nine dollars for adults, seven for seniors and six dollars for kids. Carnival wristbands are 30 dollars each.

Featured entertainment this year includes plenty of rides, fair foods, animals and eating contests. Hitting the concert stage this year is 3 Doors Down, Dustin Lynch and REO Speedwagon.

For more information on tickets, food and things to do at the fair, click here. The Western Idaho Fair runs until August 24. It is open daily from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. On closing day, the action ends at 9 p.m.

New this year, there is a designated pick-up and drop off area. Officials recommend turning off Glenwood Ave. onto Backstretch Lane by Hawks Stadium to access the Rideshare/Dropoff lane. Signs will be posted for wayfinding. This lane is accessible for parents, carpoolers, as well as Uber, Lyft and taxi drivers.
