International Fly Fishing Fair and FishFest

Check out this week long event providing fly fishing education and fun activities, guest speakers and celebrities, vendors, fly tying and casting demonstrations, seminars, Iron Fly, kids activities, auctions and raffles, and more. You’ll have access to Fly Fusion Magazine 80-foot fly-casting pond, as well as demonstrations and presentations from fly-fishing celebrities including Gary Borger, Jeff Wagner, Brian O’Keefe and many others. An impromptu show in 2014 at the Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, CO, sparked the formation of I’m With Her and sent the trio touring the world together the next year. Along the way, I’m With Her formed a special, family-like chemistry, garnering acclaim for their unique blend of instrumental interplay combined with their indelible harmonies, as the New York Times describes, “… that could be sweetly ethereal, or as tightly in tandem as country sibling teams like the Everly Brothers, or as hearty as mountain gospel.” More info here!
Phillip Phillips & Gavin DeGraw

Growing up in Leesburg, Georgia, Phillips first picked up guitar at age 14 and soon mastered riffs from classic-rock tracks like Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water” (mostly by playing along to his family’s karaoke machine). He also took up singing and songwriting as a teenager, in addition to forming an acoustic band with his older sister and brother-in-law. With encouragement from his family and friends, he took a break from working in his family’s pawn shop and auditioned for American Idol in summer 2011, then emerged as the show’s season 11 winner. Father John Misty is the brainchild of singer-songwriter Josh Tillman. Tillman has released three widely acclaimed albums – Fear Fun (2012), I Love You, Honeybear (2015) and his most recent release, Pure Comedy, his Grammy-nominated album (2017). Father John Misty has also recently contributed to songs by Beyoncé and Lady Gaga. As for his most recent album, Pure Comedy it is a complex, often-sardonic, and, equally often, touching meditation on the confounding folly of modern humanity. Spirit of '45 Day Remembrance Ceremony

Join the Idaho Division of Veterans Services to celebrate and honor World War II veterans and the indomitable spirit that made an Allied victory possible. There will be a wreath laying and an open mic available for World War II veterans and their families. Spirit of '45 Day is a national celebration held annually the second week of August to celebrate the anniversary of Aug. 14, 1945, when the most destructive war in human history ended.
