Woman killed crossing Myrtle Street in Boise

BOISE, Idaho — A 72-year-old woman is dead after being hit outside of a crosswalk on Myrtle Street in Boise. The crash happened between 2nd Street and Avenue A on Monday around 6 p.m.

Evidence gathered on scene indicated that the pedestrian, 72-year-old Alice H. Kinberg, was crossing Myrtle outside of any crosswalk at the time of the collision.

Kinberg was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, but she passed away from her injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old woman, remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Detectives with the BPD Violent Crimes Unit have taken over the investigation.
