BOISE, Idaho — Around 30 volunteers showed up to the VA Medical Center in Boise on Saturday to help wrap gifts for veterans.
The group will focus primarily on wrapping underwear, long-johns, hats, socks and gloves.
"I'm just very excited this is just such a great event, You know, to have so many folks come out and do something, you know, that makes people feel good. I hope that this is something we continue to do year-round," said Lupe Wissel, the State Director for AARP Idaho.
The volunteers will continue to wrap gifts until they finish the week before Christmas.
The gifts will mainly benefit homeless veterans.
