BOISE — On December 3, the only question on the Boise ballot will be whether you want incumbent Mayor Dave Bieter or City Council President Lauren McLean to be Boise’s next mayor.

The runoff election is being held after none of Boise’s mayoral candidates were able to obtain the 50 percent plus 1 majority in the mayoral election.

Official election results show City Council President Lauren McLean led with 45.7 percent of the votes, while Mayor Bieter trailed with 30.3 percent of the votes.

But, either candidate could end up winning if they make sure their voters show up at the polls and attract enough voters of other candidates from November.

Don Nelson, anchor with 6 On Your Side, sat down with Mayor Dave Bieter to discuss the most pressing issues facing the next mayor and how he plans to handle those issues if elected.
