MERIDIAN, Idaho — Zamzows hosted a grand opening celebration Saturday for their new feed store in downtown Meridian that opened inside their historic mill.

Zamzows has owned the mill since the 1950's and have had several different storefronts over the years, however, the long-time Treasure Valley business decided it was time to turn it into their own feed store.

People who came to the grand opening were treated to a tour of the historic mill.

"It was fantastic we walked through history," said customer Tammy Breiner. "Now that I've taken the tour and the owners showed us how they process everything, it's all natural, and that's all I want for my animals."

We also learned Zamzows is rooted in tradition and their old-fashioned ways as they continue to use a mill that was built in 1911.

"Everything started in Meridian, this is where the family tradition started," said Callie Zamzow. "We do a lot of chicken feed, we do anything from farm animals to your dogs and cats."
