If you and your significant other are fans of wildlife, Zoo Boise has all kinds of Valentine's Day fun for people and animals alike.

The zoo is offering everything from special Valentine's Day packages, to naming a cockroach after someone. The zoo wanted to make today extra special, not just for fans but for the animals too.

"We wanted to make sure our animals got Valentine's as well. They got treats and fun stuff to interact with." Jeff Agosta is Zoo Boise's PR coordinator and he tells us it is important to make sure the animals stay active even though some of us may not be able to. "It's what we call enrichment, it's ways that we can help stimulate and bring out their natural abilities and give them fun things to kind of spice up the day."

The zoo is still open to the public despite the ongoing pandemic but they do have new guidelines in place to make sure people stay safe. Visitors must reserve 30-minute time slots online. When they arrive, a preset one-way path is in place to take visitors around the zoo and keep everyone socially distant.

If you or someone you know is interested in visiting Zoo Boise you can find ticket pricing and more on their website.
