BOISE — An organization in Boise is working to help people gain confidence while learning self-defense skills at no cost.
"The Warrior Forged Project" wants to provide an outlet for people to learn to protect themselves. One of the instructors says many people she teaches struggle to find self-worth.
"A big key with self-defense is not just punching and kicking, but I'm worth it. I know I'm worth it in myself, and I can protect myself," said Sam Martin, instructor, The Warrior Forged Project.
The classes are offered most Sundays from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at The Base Jiu Jitsu Boise on Maple Grove.
