BOISE, Idaho — Boise Fire is responded to a brush fire near S. Eyele Avenue and E. Plexi Court Wednesday evening, that has since grown and started threatening homes.
According to officials, the fire burned about 250 acres and was 90% contained as of Wednesday night.
Boise Fire turned over command of the incident to the Bureau of Land Management, but Boise and Eagle Fire units will remain on scene to help with containment and to mop up hot spots.
Early Thursday morning, the Boise Fire Department says a wind shift caused the fire to start moving west and the fire started threatening multiple homes, prompting a Code Red Alert.
