The Potato Bowl was announced today and it will feature Akron taking on Utah State The game will take place on December 22nd.
It will be the 11th post-season appearance for Utah State as well as their third in the Potato Bowl in the past five seasons.
Akron is playing just their second FBS Bowl game, and their first in the Boise-based bowl game.
The Zips bring a 7-5 record and they have the third-ranked rushing defense in the nation. Utah State enters the bowl game with a 6-6 record and rank 14th nationally in passing defense.
