The time has finally arrived, college football fans.

In a season full of a bowl game being moved because of COVID-19, games being postponed because of the COVID outbreaks, conferences canceling their seasons (then returning), the end of the college football season is here.

On Monday, either No. 1 Alabama (12-0) or No. 3 Ohio State (7-0) will be crowned a national champion when facing off in the College Football Playoff national championship game in Florida.

These two perennial powerhouses are no stranger to college football fans, with both programs having played for a national championship since 2014. The Buckeyes won in 2014, while the Crimson Tide won in 2015 and 2017.

Crimson Tide players to watch for will be reigning Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith, who became the first wide receiver since 1991 to win the coveted award, and tailback Najee Harris. During the Rose Bowl, Harris made a breathtaking leap over a Notre Dame defender. Alabama's offense will be fun to watch against the Buckeyes.

As for Ohio State, fans will be on the lookout for quarterback Justin Fields, who suffered an injury during the Sugar Bowl against Clemson. Fields, who continued to play, finished the night with 385 passing yards and six touchdowns.

According to ESPN, Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day expects Fields to play against Alabama.

The game will kick off at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on ESPN.
