Boise State Men’s basketball bounced into action on the hardwood against the Portland Pirates.
Senior guard Chandler Hutchison went in hot against the Pilots. He picked up the first recorded triple-double in the history of Boise State men's basketball.
Hutchisons’ numbers were unforgettable. He finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to become the only Bronco with a triple-double in the program's list of single-game records that date to the 1985 season.
From there, Chris Sengfelder and Justinian Jessup each scored 17 points and Lexus Williams added three treys and 11 points for the Broncos who are now 8 and 1 on the year.
The victory was also Coach Rice's 150th with the program.
"This is a special team and hopefully the community can embrace them and come out and see them we have to start filling out taco bell arena because we have something going well on here," said Head Coach Leon Rice.
"Guys are excited about each other we are playing good basketball we know what we can do and we just continue to work hard and eventually they are going to fall,” said Senior Guard Chandler Hutchison
The Broncos won easily 77 to 54.
