Former Bronco tight end and Fruitland native Alec Dhaenens is headed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a minicamp tryout. He will be joined by former Bronco running back Ryan Wolpin.
Boise State so far has 8 former players getting a shot at the next level. Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch was picked in the first round of this years NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
Vander Esch will be playing with former Bronco receiver Cedrick Wilson who was picked in the sixth round. Gabe Perez will head to California with the Chargers on a tryout.
Former center Mason Hampton will be trying to catch on with the Cincinnati Bengals. Arizona native Jake Roh signed a free agent deal with the Atlanta Falcons, and Brock Barr will join Roh in Atlanta as a long snapper.
