Harsin praises QB Rypien

Posted

When Ryan Finley went down in the Idaho State game last season, freshman quarterback Brett Rypien took the reins and he didn’t disappoint.  As a true freshman, he threw for over 3,300 yards with twenty touchdowns.

Both quarterbacks have dueled it out in spring camp,  for now, it appears that Rypien is leading the pack.  Coach Harsin wouldn’t officially say that Rypien is the starter but he has high praise for the young signal caller.

“Rypien has had a really good spring he's much stronger a lot better with situational stuff.  I think he is practicing really well.  Finley is still kinda getting back into it a little bit but I think he's gotten better, right now Rypien has been playing well and he’s been studying well. He is one of those guys that is competitive every single day.”  Said, Coach Harsin.
