Potato Bowl setting up to be a solid game

The Potato Bowl will kick off this coming Tuesday at Albertson's Stadium, but before the two teams face each other they took part in the famous Idaho Potato Bowl for Charity today in Meridian.

Heading into the Bowl game against Utah State the Zips are 7-5 having won four straight to become bowl eligible. Between 2009 and 2011, which was Bowden's first season they were a combined 3-33. The Aggies are making their fifth consecutive bowl appearance and are 43-23 over the last five seasons.

"there strong it's a big group up front o-line d-line front seven both sides of the ball experienced juniors and seniors really strong up front." Said, Utah State Head Coach Matt Wells.

"After ten losing seasons these seniors have brought this team back. The program was down as far it could go four years ago when i came in. These guys decided to build this team up, now they have come here to this bowl it's very special." Said Akron Head Coach Terry Bowden.
