The Idaho Vandals Austin Rehkow was honored as the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after his four field goals helped the Vandals top Louisiana-Monroe at Warhawk Stadium last Saturday.
Rehkow was good on all four field goals he attempted but the last – a 27-yarder as time expired, wound up the game-winner.
This is Rehkow's third career Player of the Week honor from the Sun Belt Conference. He was chosen once as a junior and once as a sophomore. He is a member of the Lou Groza and Ray Guy award watch lists.
The Vandals return home this weekend to Sun Belt Conference action against New Mexico State. Kickoff at the Kibbie Dome is 2 p.m.
