Last weekend was a special one for Broncos running back Ryan Wolphin.
In his final game at Albertson's stadium, Wolphin stepped in for injured running back, Alexander Mattison. Wolphin scored the scored the game-winning touchdown to help Boise State beat Fresno State to win the Mountain West Championship.
With Mattison’s status up in the air, Wolphin says he is ready for the chance to help Boise State.
"I was ready for the opportunity to step up and that is something coach Harsin always touches on: to be the next man on the totem pole and be ready to step up for the team and hopefully Alex is a 100 percent by game time, but just kind of attack it like I do every single week and just be ready and prepared," Wolphin
If Mattison is unable to go to the game, it will leave coach Harsin with just two scholarship tailbacks: Wolphin and redshirt freshman, Robert Mahone.
This season so far has been the Alexander Mattison show having 12 touchdowns and over 1,000 yards
Wolphin has nearly 400 yards and four touchdowns on the year.
