BOISE — The Boise Timbers and Thorns soccer club will wear pink socks for each game in the month of October for breast cancer awareness month.

In support of the Think Pink campaign, the soccer club will also donate $1 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation for every goal scored by each of their teams.

"It's a pretty awesome statement to just remember that you know it is more than just a game," said Boise Timber and Thorns Director of Coaching, Eric Simmonsen. "That we can impact a lot of people, things and communities and stuff more than just getting results, winning and branding and whatever else."

On the first weekend, the Timbers and Thorns have tracked over 260 goals or $260 to the cause.

The club is also asking for your help to join their commitment and do the same.
