The Idaho Vandals had a day on offense that will be in their memory for a long time as Idaho rolled to a 55-23 Victory over New Mexico State inside the Kibbie Dome.

“The last six games we have really started executing better. I was just happy for those guys and for the assistant coaches. Our coaches work hard and our players work hard. It's good to have their work pay off and we were just clicking today, it was awesome,” said, Head Coach Paul Petrino.

Quarterback Matt Linehan was stellar finishing the day with the fourth most passing yards in school history with 476 and completed 29 of 36 throws.

For the first time since 2010 Idaho had three receivers finishing the day with over 100 yards. The team had their highest point total since 2003 and Idaho finished the day having 651 yards of total offense.

“Protection was good and the o-line did a really good job the last two weeks and i don’t think that gets said enough. To keep me up right the receivers made plays today that made me look a lot better in some situations making plays after the catch it's just one of those things we have worked on so much with each other. It's a belief in what we do that we know we can do this to everybody,” said, Quarterback Matt Linehan.

On defense the Vandals had five sacks among their nine tackles for loss as the Aggies could never get a grip on offense.

“What we harped on and practiced all week is doing your job and making sure everybody is trying do there job and stay in their gaps out front and if we executed that and shut down number three good things will happen,” said, Senior DL Tueni Lupeamanu.

Idaho now travels to Appalachian State this next Saturday.
