Posted
and last updated

After record-tying heat on Thursday, things are cooling down and changing up for Friday. Cloudy conditions prevail for today, with scattered morning showers, though temperatures will remain above normal with highs hitting the low 70s around the region. A cold front will sweep through this evening, bringing with it gusty winds, localized hail and possible thunderstorms.

By Saturday, scattered rain is likely throughout the day in the Treasure Valley, with mountain snow possible in higher elevations. Wind gusts will be strong east of Mountain Home Saturday afternoon, gusting up to 45mph in some areas. Highs in the Boise area will hit the low 60s for Saturday and Sunday.
