Strong But Scattered Storms Possible Friday

Scattered but possibly severe thunderstorms are expected for Friday, and could continue into this evening across southern Idaho. The storms could bring brief heavy rain, gusty winds and small hail. Flow from the south, though, will keep temperatures above normal, with afternoon highs reaching the upper 70s in the Treasure Valley.

The possibility of rain and scattered storms persists into Saturday, though the likelihood is not as great. We should the sun later in the day Saturday and highs will cool off just a few degrees compared to today. On Sunday, Mother’s Day, morning showers are possible but should dry up as the day goes on. Temps will be near 80 Sunday afternoon.
