CALDWELL, ID — Vision Charter School in Caldwell offers dual credit at NNU for their CrossFit classes.
CrossFit combines a wide range of functional movements that anyone can do at their own level. The program is in its fourth year, after Jason George, a science teacher got his CrossFit certification.
"I have kids writing back to me that are in the military now that this totally prepared them for basic training and they don't know if they would have been able to physically do what they do what they did if they weren't in the class," said Jason George, Science Head, Vision Charter School.
The school is building a new gym and part of that will be a CrossFit facility. They just got a grant from the CrossFit foundation for ten-thousand dollars to add additional equipment.
