A blast of colder weather brings us back to normal

and last updated

A vigorous system brought a quarter to a half inch of rain to the Treasure Valley and five inches of snow to Bogus Basin. Lesser amounts of snow fell up north with Under four inches at Tamarack and under an inch at the base of Brundage with likely more at the summit.

The Boise area had anywhere from a quarter to a half inch of rain overnight. Sunshine will dominate Monday and Tuesday with temps more seasonable in the mid-40s on Monday and near 50 on Tuesday.

Clouds increase on Wednesday with rain likely Wednesday night. There is still uncertainty as to when the rain/mountain snow will come to an end. It may be Thursday morning but this system may be delayed and affect the area starting on Thursday.

The most snow will likely fall in the south mountains south of the Magic Valley with several inches possible in central Idaho. I will keep tracking this incoming storm and keep you update with the latest!
