As we count down the final days of summer, it continues to feel like the middle of summer in the Treasure Valley. High temperatures climbed to 93° in Boise and 91° in Ontario on Monday. Temperatures will be a touch cooler in the upper 80's today as clouds move into the region ahead of an approaching cold front.
A disturbance south of the Magic Valley will trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms. Outflow from the dissipating storms may bring locally gusty winds to the Magic Valley Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, a dry cold front will move through late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible in the mountains overnight.
Temperatures will stay in the lower 80's on Wednesday with a gusty northwest breeze. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue in the Central Mountains. Thursday morning will be cool and refreshing as temperatures will start off in the mid 30's to lower 40's in the mountains and mid 40's to lower 50's in the valleys.
High pressure strengthens over the Pacific Nortwest on Friday and throughout the weekend. Temperatures will climb back above normal with highs approaching 90° again in the Treasure Valley.
